I might have, just maybe, okay a little bit…turned Southern.

This past weekend I averaged 4 hours of sleep a night.

I normally average 8 or 9.

Can we say sleep deprived? I do love my sleep but this weekend was jam packed with activities. We had special guest Christine Caine at The Life Church! Chris is dynamic speaker from Hillsong Church in Australia. She also has this amazing ministry the A21 Campaign - a ministry fighting the injustice of human trafficking.

Church wasn’t what made me so tired. First, configuring and uploading information to my website took a lot of time. I am nowhere close to understanding computers. Words and abbreviations like HTML, code and plugins are a far cry from my vocabulary. I’m slowing learning, but let me tell you, it’s slow.  Please bear with me as I learn!

The second fun activity brought a revelation…one that took a little time digesting.

I’ve turned Southern.

I know, it’s crazy. Don’t get me wrong, I love the South. It’s where I live. I just didn’t expect this to happen the way it did. Here’s what happened:

Scrapbooking Evidence

I scrapbook.

Wait, let me change that to the past tense “scrapbooked.” If you’re not from the South you may not know that scrapbooking is a Southern ‘thang.’ I don’t want to go all out and say it’s my hobby. My roommate and I made three mini scrapbooks for the aussie children and nanny! It was my first time making a scrapbook and I really enjoyed it! I don’t think I’ll be doing another one in awhile but it was fun while it lasted. There were pages of Tinkerbell, princesses, movie titles, Memphis collages and more. We wanted to include everything that the kids had done while in Memphis. And give them tangible memories of the fun filled weekend.

Those two projects kept me busy! Combine them with a full weekend at church and planned activities with the kids, my weekend was full! I loved every minute. Now I just have to catch up on sleep….

On that note, goodnight…

Scrapbooking! How fun! I really love it but didn’t prioritize to bring my stuff over. I might have to now that the baby is coming – got to chronicle that!

Love the pic! The girls have all gotten so big. I take it the boys didn’t join you guys for Disney on Ice – probably best. :)

Your website looks great!! You are doing an awesome job! Love you!

    *gasp*
I don’t know what to say?
What next? Will you be putting up roosters in your kitchen and metal bed frames with flowers on your lawn?
    >shakes head<
