This weekend my best friend, Amy Beth, is coming in town!

Amy Beth lives in East Tennessee but she is coming to Memphis for a Beth Moore conference at the FedEx Forum. She didn’t decide to come alone though…there are about 5 other girls coming too! I don’t know any of them but I’m sure we’ll have a great time. Originally Amy Beth was coming for the whole weekend but now it’s an abbreviated one. The group is only able to make it for the actual conference with really no room to spare. This means we will have to take advantage of every minute!

The group is staying at my house so last night was filled with cleaning, organizing and generally getting ready. Mind you, I’m just a couple years out of college so I don’t have six guest bedrooms in my house but I have air mattresses and couches! Probably every inch of my house will be utilized this weekend.

The fun aspect of preparing for these women was making little gift baskets for them! I won’t go into details just in case they are reading this… that way it’ll be somewhat a surprise! I forgot to take pictures this morning before I left for work but I’ll have some soon. On the work note: yeah…um… I was late this morning. I prioritized my house and things for this weekend instead of being on time. The best part about it? My boss knows all about hospitality and didn’t mind one bit. I do love my job. God keeps blessing me with wonderful experiences where I am and even better coworkers.

Now I’m off to get a full day’s work in before the women arrive and the conference begins! I’m sure there will be pictures in some following posts. Here’s a past one of us with two other friends:
