I’m so glad you’re here! Let me introduce myself. I’m 24 years old and currently live in Memphis, TN. I’m originally from New Hampshire but came to college in the South. I have yet to return to the beautiful mountains, crisp fall weather and bitterly cold snow drifts. I do miss it but my life has started a new chapter in Memphis! In a few short months, I will be moving to Durban, South Africa as a part of an international internship with Go Global Missions. I love to travel, work with children, serve people, experience new cultures but most of all I love my Savior! I am learning every day what it means to be a child of God and walk in His grace.

For the past two years I have had the privilege and joy of calling The Life Church my home church. It is there I have learned what true excellence is. I have also learned invaluable life lessons, leadership skills, and what it means to be a daughter in the house of God. I can’t wait to serve with these same values and vision during my time in Africa!

My launch date is May 25th, 2010. I will be living in Durban, South Africa for one year serving the Kwa-Zulu Natal province. The missions organization I am working through, Go Global Missions, seeks to plant churches and develop orphan rescue projects through the partnership of local churches sending short-term mission teams, medium-term interns (like myself) and long term missionaries.

While in South Africa I will be helping plant The Life Church Durban.  I will be living and working with two missionaries originally from The Life Church in Memphis, Greg and Kristin Evans. Interning along with me is Kassie Perritt, also from Memphis, TN. We will be working to build a strong, life-giving church that will impact not only Durban but its surrounding areas. The vision for the Durban campus is to see leaders developed from the African people who can rise up and be the hands and feet of Jesus. We will serve in various aspects to carry this vision but all through the local church.
